Symposium of City Values on Strategic Development hosted by Osmaniye Korkut Ata University with the contributions of Osmaniye Governorship, Osmaniye Municipality and DOĞAKA, has been completed on 5th May 2016.
On the first day of the symposium, 3rd May 2016, opening ceremony was held under the presidency of Governer of the Osmaniye Kerem Al with the participants of Mayor of the City Osmaniye Kadir Kara, Rector of Osmaniye Korkut Ata University (and also the President of DOĞAKA Development Council) Prof.Dr. Orhan Büyükalaca, President of Osmaniye Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Board Member of DOĞAKA Mr. Murat Teke, DOĞAKA Secretary General Mr. Onur Yıldız, representatives public institutes, private sector and non-governmental organizations, academicians, researchers and students.
Throughout the symposium which continued three day long, researchers from Osmaniye and around the Turkey, presented their papers under the head titles of City-Tourism, Culture-Literature, Archaeology, History, Food-Agriculture, Energy-Economics, Environment-Nature-Sports, Development-Social Structure, at the halls of the Osmaniye Korkut Ata University.
As the result of symposium, it has been announced that town people and administrators of Osmaniye should take serious measurements on subjects as improvement of University-Industry collaboration, unveiling archaeological values, making better use of cultural and touristic potential of the city, serious researching both recent and ancient history of Osmaniye and converting into written work, inciting academic reviews and researches that can be a guide to investors, compiling more systematically written and verbal culture, benefiting from potential of the solar energy capacity of Osmaniye.
