’my Future My Professıon” Coordınatıon Meetıng Was Held ın Osmaniye

At the end of 2018 at the 26 level 2 regions in Turkey, Development Agencies’ board meetings were held with "National Technology, Powerful Industry" special agenda. The development of vocational education in Turkey came to the fore as one of the most highlighted issues at these meetings.

In this context, the General Directorate of Development Agencies of the Ministry of Industry and Technology decided to prioritize the activities of Development Agencies under the theme of Vocational Training in 2019 as a result of the consultations with local and national stakeholders.

In 2019, all 26 Development Agencies in Turkey, with the motto "My Future My Profession", with the focus on this topic, aim to create awareness and impact at national level by creating local agendas with the framework of potentials and priorities of their regions.

In this context, Eastern Mediterranean Development Agency, in cooperation with our National Education Directorates, İŞKUR, and Universities, plans to organize a series of activities such as conferences, capacity building trainings for students and teachers, industrialist-alumni meetings, leaders' program, regional labor force needs analysis in order to raise awareness about Vocational and Technical Education.


In order to plan these activities around the agenda of “My Future My Profession” The Executive Committee Meeting of  Osmaniye Provincial Employment and Vocational Education Board was hosted at Osmaniye Investment Support Office.

During the meeting, Osmaniye ISO Coordinator Erdinç Kadıoğlu provided information about the agenda to the members consisting of İİMEK Executive Board Chairman İŞKUR Deputy Director Hacı Akkoyun, OKÜ Health Culture and Sports Department Head Savaş Dündar, National Education Branch Manager Mehmet Sünbül and Osmaniye Municipality IT Manager Engin Yanık.

With the positive opinions of the members of the Executive Board, it is decided to prepare an action plan including the works to improve the “Vocational and Technical Education”. This action plan will  be brought to the agenda at the first meeting of the Osmaniye Provincial Employment and Vocational Training Board and will be submitted to the decision on the implementation of the activities.
