At A Meeting Held At The Kadirli Trade Exchange, A Cooperation Protocol Was Signed Between The Provincial Directorate Of Osmaniye Gıda Agriculture And Livestock, The Eastern Mediterranean Development Agency And The Kadirli Mercantile Exchange For The Kadirli Radish Geographical Signature.
Hatay Food, Provincial Director of Agriculture and Livestock İbrahim Sağlam said that Kadirli radish deserves to be branded.
We signed a protocol for the geographical indication as the first step in the branding of Kadirli radish. After Osmaniye peanuts will do the registration in our Patent Institute in Turkey, Kadirli radish will be the following product that should be branded. In the winter months when no agriculture has been done, we think that this product, which provides employment to thousands of people, should be registered with the name of Kadirli.
DOĞAKA Secretary General Onur Yıldız emphasized the importance of the economic contribution of this protocol to the people of the region and the development of Osmaniye province. He thanked emacians for specifying that every product that can be registered as a geographical sign in our territory should be registered.
Turkish Grand National Assembly (TGNA) Board Member and Justice and Development Party Osmaniye deputy Mr. Mücahit Durmusoglu also stated that the product will be registered in Kadirli with the name Kadirli, which brings in millions of pounds in revenue.
