Kahramanmaraş Governor and DOĞAKA Administrative Board Chairman Mr. Vahdettin OZKAN, who made the opening speech of the meeting, said, "Despite the difficulties of the treacherous coup attempt that we have experienced as a country in 2016, our Agency continues its activities without slowing down its activities and has successfully completed almost all activities in the 2016 Year Work Program. The Regional Development Agency DOGAKA has left the working period behind. Within the scope of activities of our Agency in 2016; three financial support programs of 15 Million TL have been announced and the investments of the projects that have been successfully evaluated have been completed. 1 Guided Project with 1 Million 700 Thousand TL and 22 Technical Support and 8 Direct Activity Support projects were supported and supported. The 15 Sector Reports for the sectors that stand out in our region and the Provincial Economic Outlook Report for each of the 3 provinces have been completed and presented to the quarters of the related sectors. Investment support was provided to 1,196 people visiting our Investment Support Offices in various subjects. 903 people were trained in various subjects and 457 people were trained in applied entrepreneurship. We continued to organize workshops and conferences with fair attendance in the sectors that stand out in our region. This work will be continued in 2017 as a summary, "he said.

Kahramanmaraş Governor and Chairman of DOĞAKA Mr. Vahdettin Özkan also added that: "The evaluation of the applications made during November-December period in the Technical Assistance Program conducted in 2016 has been completed and successful projects have been declared. Successful project owners and contracts for the implementation of the projects are signed. The 2017 Technical Support Program will be announced in the coming days and new applications will be started. In the Direct Activity Support Program, evaluation of the applications received at the end of the year was completed and successful projects following the approval of the Board of Directors will be shared with the public at today's meeting. In addition to national resources, our Agency aims to gain a share in our region from other funding sources, especially the European Union. In this regard, a new sub-work unit has been established within the Agency and cooperation with other institutions and organizations in our region will be accelerated in 2017. Our agency, which provides exhibition support for the promotion of companies in our region, started with the International Istanbul Furniture Fair and the EMITT Fair, which were held at the end of January for the fair organizations of the year 2017. The stand, which is the biggest tourism fair in Turkey and which was prepared by our agency at EMITT Fair, which attracted 46.000 tour operators and 450 tour operators from 80 countries this year, was awarded the "Stand Award to Perform the Best Destination Promotion. AYMOD 2017 International Shoe Winter Fashion Fair will be held in Istanbul in April for the participation of the fair and OLIVTECH 2017 International Olive, Olive Oil, Dairy Products and Technology Fair will be held in İzmir. Research and Feasibility Studies for Determining the Potential of TR63 Region Solar Energy are also underway at the Research and Feasibility of Common Marketing Agencies, Poultry Sector Report and Facility Feasibility, Fruit Ice Cream and Fruit Juice Concentrate Prefeasibility Facility, TR63 Region Greenhouse Feasibility. When these works are completed, they will be printed and presented to all the related departments. All these activities continue with the monitoring and evaluation activities for the ongoing projects, regional research and analysis studies and investment support activities."
