DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL PROVINCIAL MEETING TOOK PLACE IN OSMANİYE - DOĞAKA | T.C. Doğu Akdeniz Kalkınma Ajansı

Development Council which functions as a consulting body to Eastern Mediterranean Development Agency gathers representatives from the public, local managements, universities and civil society in order to enhance cooperation in the region and guide operations of Agency. Development Council on a provincial degree took place with participation of representatives from Province of Osmaniye on 24th December 2015 at Osmaniye Korkut Ata University - Karacaoğlan Campus Student Center Meeting Hall.

Meeting was held under the presidency of Osmaniye Korkut Ata Üniversity Rector (and also the President of DOĞAKA Development Council) Mr. Proff.Dr. Orhan BÜYÜKALACA. Participants were; Osmaniye Lieutenant Governor of the City, Mr. Alperen YILMAZ, President of Osmaniye Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Board Member of DOĞAKA Mr. Murat TEKE, Development Council Members: Osmaniye Governor’s Provincial Planing and Coordination Director Mr. Mehmet MART, Osmaniye Director of Provincial Food Agriculture and Livestock. Mr. İbrahim SAĞLAM, Osmaniye Director of Provincial Science, Industry and Technology Mr. Cafer TAKIRTAŞ, Osmaniye Acting Director of Provincial Culture and Tourism Mr. Garip YIL, Osmaniye Provincial Director of Labor and Work Mr. Abdülkadir ŞAHİN, Osmaniye KOSGEB Provincial Acting Director Mr. Emrah Demir, Osmaniye Provincial Acting Director of Education Mr. Hayrettin TEKDÖŞ, Caimacam of the province of BAHÇE Mr. Mehmet Alper ÇİĞ, Vice Mayor of the City, Mr. Hayrettin ASLAN, Vice President of Osmaniye Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Mehmet Ali BESEN, President of Osmaniye Commodity Exchange Mr. Said ÇENET, Vice President of Osmaniye Chamber of Agriculture. DOĞAKA Osmaniye Investment Support Office Coordinator Mr. Erdinç KADIOĞLU made a presentation on DOĞAKA supports provided for SMEs and government promotions from 2010 to today. Presentation was about comparing funds provided to Osmaniye and other cities of the region (Hatay and Kahramanmaraş). After the presentation, representatives of public and private sector exchanged their views of investments and projects on every aspect of Osmaniye Province under the chairmanship of Mr. Prof. Dr. Orhan BÜYÜKALACA..

Mr. Oğuz ALİBEKİROĞLU, Head of Project Managment Unit of DOĞAKA, briefly informed attendees about Support Programms of Agency. Meeting ended with the review of Mr Prof.Dr.Orhan BÜYÜKALACA, who had pointed out the essence of Development Council meetings are subscribed and sustainability in order to “achieve better/ prosperous Osmaniye Province and become urbanised”.
