A meeting was held with sapling farmers in Samandağ for “Sapling Sectoral Report of Hatay Province” that is being prepared within the scope of 2021 Botanic EXPO that will be organized in Hatay with the theme of “Garden of Civilizations”.
Engineers from the Hatay Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry; Orhan BULUT, Hüseyin GÜÇLÜ and Yasemin IŞIK attended the meeting and gave information about plant passport and sapling certification to the sapling farmers. Eastern Mediterranean Development Agency Sectoral Supports and Programming Unit Chairman Serdar ÇINAR gave information about agency studies and sectoral supports and then expert Hayri YILMAZ detailed about the report will be prepared.
After the sapling farmers talked about the problems about the sector and their expectations from the public, the visit ended after a sample sapling plant tour.
