Osmaniye is Reborn in Tourism

Project "Technical, Economic and Financial Feasibility of the Osmaniye Karaçay Cable Car System", submitted by the Osmaniye Special Provincial Administration was decided to be supported by the Agency within the scope of the 2016 Direct Financial Support Program. The agreement has been signed for the project between Mr. Mehmet YANIK, The General Secretary of the Osmaniye Special Provincial Administration and Onur YILDIZ, General Secretary of Eastern Mediterranean Development Agency (DOGAKA).
Within the scope of the project to be carried out by the Osmaniye Special Provincial Administration, Osmaniye Cable Car System is planned to be established on the route extending from on the way of Zorkun Plateau to Karaçay Valley. In Osmaniye province in order to enrich the tourism potential of the Eastern Mediterranean Region with various infrastructure works and facilities and to create alternative transportation facilities for tourism, technical and financial feasibility of the cable car line will be prepared. The report, which will set out the travel demand for the next 30 years, will include approximate cost calculations in the light of technical items such as geological survey studies, determination of alternative routes and preparation of preliminary drawings. It will also be an important step towards the implementation of the cable car system investment.
