Miraculous sahlep which is cultivated from wild orchid tubers and goat milk gives Kahramanmaras ice cream unique taste, nice odor and flavor. Around 20 ice cream manufacturers operating in Kahramanmaras led to the formation of an important branch of industry.With the effective use of state support since 2010the growth trend in the ice cream sector stands out.
As a result of this workshop key stakeholders of the ice cream sector will come together. Academics, company representatives and producers which have expertise on the field of ice cream in Turkey and the worldwide will present about Maras ice cream, mechanization and new production techniques, packaging and supply industry, food safety, promotion and marketing.
The main purpose of the workshop is to upgrade University - Public-Private Sector Cooperation to highest level to solve the common problems of the ice cream sector and transferring new technologies to get the sector to further levels.
