Furniture is one of the leading sectors in Hatay in terms of its capability for provision of employment and exportation opportunities. Small Industrial Area of Furniture that will be established within the scope of an EU project will increase the production capacity of Hatay furniture which produces the maximum amount of furniture accessories in Turkey.
In line with this target, Hatay 1st Furniture Fair will be organized between 12-20th of November, 2016. The objectives of organizing this fair are to increase Hatay furniture’s domestic market share and to increase at least 20 % of its export which already reached 60 million dollars.
International procurement team has been invited to this fair to increase the export of Hatay furniture although the fair had been organized for domestic ultimate consumers in the beginning. The procurement team consists of the representatives of the following countries: TRNC (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus), Georgia, Libya, Sudan, Palestine, Jordan, Serbia and Macedonia.
First arriving group came from Georgia with participation of 20 people and visited our firms at fair and placed their first orders.
