European Union Project of DOĞAKA “Integration of Employment for Citizens Living as Roman” has been close out

T.R. Eastern Mediterranean Development Agency has become the beneficiary of the grant program “Improving Social Integration and Employability of Disadvantaged Persons” of Ministry of Labor and Social Security Directorate of European Union and Financial Assistance as the contracting authority with the “Integration of Employment for Citizens Living as Roma” project. DOĞAKA and the Project partners Osmaniye Development Association and Erzin Women's Solidarity Association held the information, awareness and close out conference within the project scope.
Besides the participants of the courses completed in the scope of the project and their relatives Osmaniye Governor, Osmaniye Mayor Vice Chairman Sehavet ARSLANKURT, Osmaniye Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Murat TEKE, DOĞAKA Secretary General Onur YILDIZ, and the representatives of the heads of public institutions and non-governmental organizations attended the organization that held at Osmaniye Chamber of Commerce and Industry's conference hall.

The program was intended to “Integration of Employment for Citizens Living as Roma project”, “basket weaving” and “Apprentice Chief” courses participants, their relatives and also public institutions and non-governmental organizations members. In the program, business and professional advisor İbrahim ÖKSÜZ from İŞKUR made a presentation about  “Job Search Skills, CV Preparation, Job Interview Techniques; Ayça Uçar Demir from Family and Social Policies Provincial Directorate made a presentation about “Rights of Disadvantaged Groups and Services Provided to Them”; Guidance Teacher and Psychological Counselor Baran KARABULUT from Provincial National Education Directorate made a presentation about “The Problems of Individuals and Their Families Living Like Roma and Their Problems in Social Life”. 

Following the presentations, a certificate ceremony was held for the trainees who successfully completed the trainings within the scope of the project.

After the conference, the trainees and their families attended the lunch and after the lunch they watched film "Ayla" which is the candidate for the "Best Foreign Language Film" for the 90th Oscar Awards of our country in the movie theater of Osmaniye Park 328 Shopping Center.
