As a result of the studies initiated in 2017 with the direction of the Ministry of Development, efforts are underway to prepare the Investment Strategy and Action Plan of the Osmaniye Province for ”Main Metal Products Manufacturing” “Processing and Packaging of Crop Products” sectors.
Within this study, the current situation and potentials of the prominent sectors are analyzed and it is aimed to determine the areas of improvement in the value chains of these sectors and to ensure the most effective use of the potentials.
The aim of the study is to focus the public, private sector and civil society sectors on these sectors, to strengthen inter-agency coordination and communication in this direction and to ensure coordination in the aim, policy and actions for development.
The strategies to be determined with this plan are aimed to guide the Regional Plans, Financial Support Programs and public investments to be prepared in the upcoming periods.
Within the scope of these studies, an information and coordination meeting was held on 18 September 2018, at DOĞAKA Osmaniye Investment Support Office, with the participation of public and civil society institutions and local government representatives. In the first section of the meeting, the participants were informed about the Investment Strategy and Action Plan of Osmaniye Province. In the second session, opinions and suggestions of the representatives of the institutions regarding the priority sectors determined within the scope of the strategy and their plans and programs for the upcoming period were received.
Plan studies will continue in the light of the information received in the meeting and the current developments in the identified sectors.
