City Awards, the event of the Living Cities Platform, brought together the stakeholder leaders of the cities of Turkey, the business world, the artists and the authorities of public institutions and organizations on 29 September 2017 in Izmir with an award ceremony.
It is hosted by the Living Cities Platform, which aims to provide cities with urban development goals with the primary goal of preserving the natural and cultural values that our cities possess, first of all, by strengthening with the right organization, creating added value, bringing economic sustainable inputs to the people of the region and passing on the right people.
City Awards Turkey was organized with the participation of many provincial governors, mayors, rectors, development agencies general secretaries, district governors and academicians in the award ceremony held in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Ministry of Development in cooperation with Dokuz Eylül University.
The City Awards, which presented the awards in 3 different categories within the scope of Special Awards, in 20 different categories in the Hope Light Affiliate Stakeholder Awards and in 4 different categories in the Science Light Based Academic Awards, a total of 34 awards were distributed in 20 categories in Turkey.
On behalf of our Agency, DOĞAKA Secretary General Onur YILDIZ'a was presented with the historical oil lamp as the hope light awards including the "Best Document of the Year" and "Geographical Marking of the Year" presented to Eastern Mediterranean Development Agency.
