2nd Apple Farming Workshop was held on 21 September 2016 at Göksun Vocational School’s Auditorium, in coordination with DOĞAKA and by the cooperation of Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University, Göksun District Governorship, Göksun Municipality and Göksun Food Agriculture and Livestock Directorate.
Apple farming in Göksun was discussed, where 1400 apple farmers live and 5500 tonnes of apples grown. 250 participants mostly farmers participated the workshop which introduction speeches were made by Mustafa BOZKURT vice director of Kahramanmaraş Food Agriculture and Livestock Directorate, Onur YILDIZ General Secretary of DOĞAKA, Prof.Dr. Fatih KILLI Vice Rector of Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University, Hüseyin Coşkun AYDIN the Mayor of Göksun District Municipality and Cengiz AYHAN District Governor of Göksun.
Prof.Dr. Hasan DEĞİRMENCİ and Prof.Dr. Kadir SALTALI Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University Lecturers, Mehmet SIĞIRCI Head of Seed Department at Ministry of Food Agriculture and Livestock and Prof.Dr. Hatice DUMANOĞLU Ankara University Lecturer, made their presentations at the workshop session after introduction speeches.
