MERSİN-ADANA-İNCİRLİK-OSMANİYE-GAZİANTEP HIGH SPEED RAILWAY PROJECT
In order to provide high-speed train transportation from Istanbul, Ankara and Konya to Karaman-Mersin-Adana-Osmaniye and Gaziantep provinces; Adana-İncirlik-Osmaniye-Gaziantep High Speed Train Line is under construction.
The construction works of the project consisting of Mersin-Adana 3rd and 4th lines, Adana-İncirlik-Toprakkale, Toprakkale-Bahçe, Bahçe-Nurdağ (Fevzipaşa Variant), Nurdağ-Başpınar, Başpınar-Mustafayavuz (Gaziray) sections are ongoing.
In Adana-Gaziantep train management; passenger trains will be operated with 200 km / h and freight trains with 80-120 km / h. Passenger trains travel time will decrease to 1 hour 45 minutes with the projects made from 5 hours 23 minutes. Within the scope of the project, which is under construction between Osmaniye (Toprakkale) and Gaziantep, a 10 km double tube tunnel will be built and the existing line will be shortened by 15 km (from 32 km to 17 km), slope will decrease from 0.27% to 0, 16%, the cruise time of freight trains will decrease from 98 minutes (including maneuvering time) to 10 minutes, and the tilt will increase 3 times as the slope is reduced
In the scope of the Akçagöze-Başpınar project, which is still under construction, the existing line will be shortened by 16 km (Will drop from 27 km to 11 km) with the construction of 2 tunnels of 5.2 km, The cruise time of freight trains will decrease from 45 minutes to 10 minutes.
